<p>Join us for Iowa’s premier beekeeping class! This eight-session, year-long series is designed for individuals serious about keeping bees. It will take the participant through the annual cycle of beekeeping from establishing a hive to harvesting and marketing the honey produced. You will gain valuable hands-on experience by working in the Indian Creek Nature Center Educational Apiary, or your own hives! Backpacking for Beginners
<p dir="ltr">Prepare for your first or next backpacking trip! Join Nichole Clark from Wild Rose Outdoor Recreation Consulting for this hands-on class. Participants will learn about selecting a backpacking location, gear and clothing (what to pack, how to pack, and boot selection), food options, cooking, and wildlife. Physical conditioning for the trip and Leave No Trace principles will also be discussed. Nichole is a National Outdoor Leadership School Alaska Women’s Backpacking graduate, certified in Wilderness First Aid, BLS CPR, and in Leave No Trace Awareness. She’ll share her experiences from solo backpacking trips in the Colorado Rockies, kayak camping in Voyageurs National Park, and hammock camping in the Northern Rockies.
