Save CR Heritage Hidden Homes Walking Tour II

Ever wonder about the houses hidden behind storefronts along First Avenue? Cedar Rapids historian Mark Stoffer Hunter will explain the origins of these "hidden homes" and more about the history of residential and commercial landmarks along this stretch of Cedar Rapids that is fast-changing. Get your wristband and start the tour at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at the church building at 124 19th St. NE (behind the former BetterLife office) with ample parking in the lot next to the building. This is a walking tour of approximately one mile, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Admission: free with annual Save CR Heritage membership, (available at the door for $25) or $10 for non members. The same tour takes place at 6 p.m. Friday, June 16.
