Fabulous Trutones and David Zollo/Body Electric at the Ideal Theater

The Fabulous Trutones along with Dave Zollo and the Body Electric will be performing at the Ideal Theater (213 16th Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA.) on February 17th, 2024. The music begins at 8:30 p.m. There is a $10 admission charge in advance or $15 at the door. You can find more information and tickets at Ideal Theater website. 

This truly exciting ONE NIGHT ONLY event is the first time these two dynamic bands will share the stage together. And there’s no better stage than the  magnificent Ideal Theater stage. A great combination of Eastern Iowa bands playing at a very special venue. Each group will play a full set of blues, roots rock and original music.

Dave Zollo and his band, The Body Electric have been a mainstay in the Midwest for over 25 years. They have recorded 7 releases of original material, including the most recent, "For Hire.” The current iteration of the band is his longest running, all four members playing together for a decade or more. It consists of Brian Cooper (drums, percussion,) Ryan Bernemann (bass guitar, harmony vocals,) and Randall Davis (electric, acoustic, and pedal steel guitars.

The Fabulous Trutones is what happens when three veteran musicians come together with a singular purpose....to present their original music with intensity, passion and joy. Over the years (starting in 2014), from their early days in the local pubs of Cedar Falls and Waterloo, Iowa, then branching out to bigger venues in neighboring cities throughout the Cedar Valley, to becoming yearly favorites at some of the area's largest festivals, their devoted following has grown along with their unique sound and electric, high energy performances. 

The Fabulous Trutones include vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Tim Wagoner, vocalist and bassist Paul Ferguson, and drummer and vocalist James Dreier. Their musical roots reach out from the Midwest, to Austin, TX, Boston, MA, Nashville, TN and back. They have been active in the Cedar Valley region of Iowa for many years. This shared musical history is evident with each fabulous performance.
