KCCK's Jazz Under The Stars - Trio Grismore

Join KCCK, Iowa’s Jazz Station for free, family-friendly jazz concert in Cedar Rapids’ Noelridge Park in August. Each concert features both a headliner and a young artist ensemble. Food trucks and kids activities on-site. Admission is free.

Steve Grismore is one of the Midwest's leading jazz guitarists, a founding member of Orquesta Alto Maiz and The Beaker Brothers, as well as dozens of his own groups. This project is a tribute to the classic guitar and organ trios from the 50s and 60s. Drawing inspiration from the music of legendary guitar master Grant Green, you will hear works written or inspired by Green, with a nod out to a few of the great organists such as John Patton, Jimmy Smith, and Larry Young. Trio Grismore features Mitch Towne on organ and Tim Crumley on drums.
