Soul Care for Adults: Creative Arts Grief Support Group at Prairiewoods (in person)

Take time to connect with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Jackie Koster, BSW, from UnityPoint Hospice facilitate this monthly grief group at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) that is open to any adults grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, come together in person to explore a different creative art medium. (A similar group for children and the adults who support them is offered on the second Wednesday of each month.) In April, we’ll make colorful window clings. Just as your loved one brought color and light to your life, colors can also represent the different emotions you are experiencing during your grief journey. Registration is required by noon a week in advance. This in-person group is free and includes all art supplies.
