Instigators Reunion: Transplant Games Fundraiser

Over thirty years ago, Kevin "BF" Burt & the Blues Instigators emerged from the Eastern Iowa music scene. They played all over the region; festivals and night clubs, the Iowa and International Blues Challenge, and backyard parties. Now, they come together - for the first time since 2016 - to support super-fan and friend, Myron Thirtle. He'll participate in the 2024 Transplant Games this July, being hosted by Birmingham, AL. April is DONATE LIFE month. Thirtle is a transplant donor, a tireless advocate for organ and tissue donation, and last competed in the 2022 games, bringing home several medals.

The fundraising event will kick-off at 4:00pm, with a set by The Tanya English Band, featuring Instigator bassist, Ed English. Performances by Kevin Burt, then by Matt Panek, will set the stage for the Instigator reunion. Original members Dan Laughlin, Jeffrey Daniels, and Eric Madison will then join Kevin, Matt, and Ed as the featured act. (Guitarist, Jon Klinkowitz, is unavailable for this event.) Former band members and others are invited to join in a jam session to close the evening.
