Event Description
Join in celebration of the transformation of the former Colonial Center building into 25 affordable-housing units in the heart of Wellington Heights with a ribbon cutting on Friday, 4/19 at 1500 2nd Avenue SE.
- Building tours will begin at 2 PM
- Ribbon cutting ceremony to follow at 3 PM
The City purchased the building with Federal grants and selected Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) to own and operate the property through an RFP process ensuring compliance with Federal guidelines over a 15-year affordability period.
