Event Description

Beginning Irish Research- Topic for Genealogical Society Meeting

In the past Irish research has been difficult due to a fire that occurred in1922. But you will learn how other records can be a source of information to fill in that lost data for your Irish ancestors.

Jenny Joyce, who has been researching for 40 years and has been a professional researcher for 13 years will cover other records sources that can be used to fill in for that missing information. In this Roots Tech video, Joyce will discuss topics of importance, including, land divisions, civil registration, parish registers, the remaining census records, Grifith’s valuation, wills, newspapers, and more.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the meeting will be on December 7th. The 9:30 AM program will be broadcast via zoom. Non-members wishing to attend must send a request to [email protected] for permission to attend.
