Granny Basketball Jamboree

The Cedar Rapids Sizzlers, winners of the 2024 National and State Granny Basketball Tournaments, are hosting a Jamboree for teams from all around Iowa and one team from Minnesota.  It will be held, Saturday, Jan. 25 at Trinity Lutheran School, 1371`Seventh Ave. SW in Cedar Rapids beginning with team play at 9 am.  Teams will consisting of different age groups will play in the afternoon and conclude between 2 and 3 pm.  All players are 50 or older and play by adapted 1920's rules.  The Grannies know how to have a good time and put on a good show.  Lunch and delicious baked goods prepared by the Trinity Lutheran Mission Group will also be available for purchase.  The event is free but a goodwill offering to the Horizons Meals on Wheels program would be greatly appreciated.  Come and have some fun!
