The Burch Trio evolved through a shared passion for chamber music and contemporary works during their time at the University of Iowa.
All three members perform with the Oak String Quartet, which plays to sold-out audiences across the state of Iowa. Based in Iowa City, the Burch Trio’s name honors Burch the Bear, the University of Iowa’s original black bear cub mascot.
