Code Feedback Open House

To keep current with the State of Iowa, and other Iowa jurisdictions, the Building Services Department is adopting the latest edition of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing codes with proposed local amendments.  This code adoption is occurring as a result of the State Plumbing and Mechanical Board and the State Electrical Examining Board adoption of new State Codes. This includes the 2024 International Mechanical Code, the 2024 Uniform Plumbing Code and the 2023 National Electrical Code. The State Plumbing and Mechanical Codes are already in effect and the latest State Electrical Code will go into effect July 1, 2025.

The Open House will be held at the City Services Center, Five Seasons Conference Room at 500 15th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids.
