Cedar Amateur Astronomers welcomes you to Solar Saturday on July 12, 2025 from 3-6 PM. This free public event is your rare opportunity to safely view the sun through our special solar observing equipment. Mr. Carl Bracken, longtime member and resident solar expert will discuss the solar cycle and the recent peak in activity. Also presenting via Zoom will be Dr. Scott McIntosh, former deputy director of the National Center for Atmospheric Research. We will have several solar telescopes set up for safe viewing. Visit the many exhibits and displays inside the observatory after the discussion.
If you are unable to attend in person, Mr. McIntosh's presentation is available on Zoom beginning at 3:30 PM. A link is posted at cedar-astronomers.org/events
