Event Description

Two icons of the nineties. Two Iowa tribute bands. One night built to sing every word. American Dookie returns to The Ideal Theater & Bar on Friday, October 16, bringing Green Day's catalog from Dookie through Revolution Radio with the speed, hooks, and crowd participation turned all the way up. Opening the night is Iowa City's Nirvomit, a Nirvana tribute keeping the spirit, distortion, and beautiful wreckage alive after a decade together. This is the soundtrack of basement stereos, burned CDs, and every lyric you still know without trying. Green Day and Nirvana, back to back, played live and close enough to feel the amps. Bring your friends. Lose your voice. Let the nineties have the room again. Friday, October 16, 2026 Doors 7 PM · Show 8 PM · All Ages The Ideal Theater & Bar · 213 16th Ave SE, Cedar Rapids $16 + fees
