Kalona Days

Kalona Days has something fun for everyone! Friday evening, downtown Kalona will be open after-hours with our Night Market vendors and retail stores. All ages can enjoy the free horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, and a movie-on-the-lawn outside the Kalona Library.

Saturday morning we start the day with our Annual Fun Run. Runners can sign up for a 1 mile or 5K Run on our website or by email info@kalonachamber.com. At 9am the Kalona YMCA's coed volleyball tournament (with cash prizes!) begins. Shop baked goods and handmade items at the downtown Farmers Market. Kids can compete in the pedal tractor pull, and bakers join us for our Pie Baking Contest and Auction, and the Kalona Fire Department will have water activities for kids. 

At 4pm watch the parade with participants from all around the county, followed with pony rides, face painting, barrel rides, bounce house, food trucks and live music. This is a low cost weekend with priceless memories.
