UN Day Celebration

The Linn County Chapter of the United Nations Association will celebrate UN Day on October 20. The 2022 theme for UN Day is "Nourishing Peace." A representative from the mayor's office will read the Mayoral proclamation for UN Day. Matthew 25 and Groundswell Cafe will be named Honorary Chair. Mike Maas and Carlis Faurot will provide musical entertainment. At 6:00 p.m. the Groundswell Cafe will serve a light meal, for which there is a charge of $10. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Haji Ali, a student at Kirkwood, will be the main speaker. He will talk about his project "Well in Ethiopia."
