Valentine’s Day Card Workshop

Join The Iowa Children’s Museum and special guest Iowa City Press Coop for a Valentine’s Day card-making extravaganza! Families will make hand-printed and stamped Valentine’s cards and create goodies for loved ones in this very special workshop.

Our hand-printed cards will have a Valentine’s message using a Kelsey clamshell letterpress printing press. Watch the printing press in action and then decorate the front with unique designs using a collection of stamps!

This family workshop is recommended for ages 4 and up. Siblings, caregivers, and friend groups are all welcome! Children must be supervised at all times by the grown-ups in their group.

Family workshops follow a pay-what-you-can model. We encourage participants to select a cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support other families and future programs!
