Event Description

Join Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) for a winter read and conversation of Susan Bauer-Wu’s A Future We Can Love: How We Can Reverse the Climate Crisis with the Power of our Hearts and Minds. The book was inspired by a conversation between the Dalai Lama and Greta Thunberg. With facilitators Ann Jackson, PBVM, and Rev. Jean Sullivan, we will journey toward active hope through four themes: Knowledge of Science and Spirit; Capacity of Earth and Humans; Will of Heartbreak and Wonderment; and ACTION! This series meets Nov. 6, Nov. 13, Nov. 20 and Dec. 4. Join us in person or via Zoom for any one or more sessions. This will help prepare us for Susan Bauer-Wu presenting at our Spirituality in the 21st Century conference April 26–27, 2024. The cost of this book discussion is $20 per session, or $75 for the four-part series. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
