The main objective of this unique workshop is to provide participants with methodical training in basic dry charcoal drawing and ultra-modern painting with liquid charcoal solely and in combination with watercolors. You will learn the basics of the reductive and additive techniques through observation and stilllife practices of charcoal drawing and painting. The first few activities will focus on drawing fundamentals, such as line, shape, composition, motion, rhythm, interaction, harmony, contrast value, proportions, and perspectives. This will be followed by a series of instructions geared towards all levels. Previous experience is not required. Fee: $150 ($112.50 for participants in ICSC's lowincome membership program); pay instructor. Membership required.
