Event Description

EXPERIENCE A DAY IN THE LIFE
Each year, more than 5,000 individuals return from prison to their communities in Iowa. These individuals face significant challenges, including finding suitable housing and employment.

The Reentry Simulation allows participants to gain an understanding of the obstacles individuals face upon release from incarceration. Participants assume the identity of a returning citizen and navigate through a series of events in an effort to successfully reintegrate into the community. Participants will experience the challenges encountered on a daily basis by those returning.

HEAR FROM A PANEL OF THOSE IMPACTED:
Following the simulation there will be a group debrief for participants to share and reflect on experiences and insights gained during the simulation. Participants will then hear from individuals who will share their personal experiences with reentering our community.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration required by April 12th at bit.ly/ParoleSim. Contact hello@insideoutreentry.com for more information.
