Event Description

Take time to connect with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Jackie Koster, BSW, from UnityPoint Hospice facilitate this monthly grief group at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) that is open to any adults grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, come together in person to explore a different creative art medium. (A similar group for children and the adults who support them is offered on the second Wednesday of each month.) In May, we’ll do a reverse coloring activity, which can be a great way to release stress and anxiety and help us center ourselves in the moment. In June, we’ll create dream catchers, which will help us reflect on our current and future dreams. Registration is required by noon a week in advance. This in-person group is free and includes all art supplies. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
