Event Description

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF JOHNSON COUNTY, directed and written by Scott Smith, is an account of a zombie apocalypse right here in River City, and tells the story of the people who try to preserve what they love about Iowa City and its many faults. It's weird. It's funny. It's moving. If you ever wanted to see Iowa City plunged into a post-apocalyptic hellscape, this is the show for you! Also there's puppets?!

Pay-what-you-please tickets are available NOW for this horrific love letter to the former Iowa Capitol. Performances will be held at The James Theater in Iowa City, IA, Sept. 6-8 & 12-15 at 8PM: Suggested ticket price is $20: https://bit.ly/ICZombieTix
