Event Description

All are welcome to walk the indoor labyrinth at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). We will be walking the labyrinth for peace and wisdom for ourselves, our loved ones, and our community, nation and world. We will provide some brief guidance for those who may be new to this spiritual practice or have been away from it for a while. The labyrinth can be a metaphor for how we walk through life and the situations that are currently confronting us. All are welcome and no experience is required. Facilitator Leslie Wright, Prairiewoods’ director, has a certificate in spirituality and community, a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in human development. She has worked as a buyer, business analyst, grantmaker and nonprofit consultant, as well as serving as adjunct faculty at Mt. Mercy University. Since the early 2000s, Prairiewoods and its programs have shaped her spiritual journey and offered sanctuary. Leslie loves to garden; spend time with her husband, Jason, and kids, Grant, Casey and son-in-law, Scott; and herd her three dogs. She is a Certified Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator. A free-will offering will be accepted. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
