55+ Movie Day: 'You've Got Mail'

This Month's, Movie Day – You’ve Got Mail: Get yourself in the spirit of Valentine's Day with this heartwarming romcom starring Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. In this 1998 Nora Ephron directed movie Ryan plays a boutique bookseller Kathleen Kelly who hates Tom Hanks character, Joe Fox, the owner of a corporate Foxbooks chain store that just moved in across the street. When they meet online, however, they begin an intense and anonymous Internet romance, oblivious of each other's true identity. Eventually Joe learns that the enchanting woman he's involved with is actually his business rival. He must now struggle to reconcile his real-life dislike for her with the cyber love he's come to feel.

This Movie Day will be held at our Bridge to Opportunities location, 2100 1st Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, directly across from Cottage Grove Place and Cottage Grove Ave. (This is Refugee City Church, the former Four Oaks building.)
