Culinary Camp! - DO Play With Your Food!

Join NewBo City Market for our Summer Culinary Camps!  With the help of an experienced culinary educator, campers will be provided a week full food-based learning.  Kids will have the chance to explore different topics through activities taking place in the Market Yard and Culinary Kitchen.  All activities will be age appropriate , educational, and most of all, FUN!

June 12 - June 15 - DO Play With Your Food!

Campers will focus on edible art and culinary crafts.  They'll put their senses to the test with  taste, smell and touch "tests".  Campers will also enjoy 'Guess That Food' games and will have the chance to create food sculptures.  This camp will be filled tasty food and fun and will foster a love for the culinary arts!

THIS CAMP IS FOR KIDS 5-10 YEARS OLD.

Camps are held from 9am - 3pm Monday - Thursday at NewBo City Market (1100 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52401).  

Dropoff is from 8:40-9:00 and pickup is from 3:00-3:20pm.  

Campers are required to pack a lunch.

What to Bring (please clearly label all personal items):

• Backpack (to store personal items)
• Snack
• Lunch 
• Reusable water bottle
• Rain jacket or poncho
• Sunscreen & bug repellant 
• Sturdy shoes & lightweight clothing 
• Hat and/or sunglasses
• Change of clothes

Do NOT bring:

• Cell phone
• Pocket knife
• Valuables
• Electronic games

No refunds or exchanges. Ticket sales support the camp counselors, as well as the non-profit mission of the NewBo City Market as a small business incubator. Thank you!
