Movie Day at Horizons 819 5^th St SE:  Our movie this month will be Flower Drum Song.  In this adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oscar winning musical a Chinese immigrant Mei Li comes to America to wed a nightclub boss Sammy Fong. However, he’s in love with one of his showgirls. Sammy tries to marry Mei Li to another man who Mei Li falls in love with but he’s pursuing another woman who is in turn, pursuing Sammy. Come find out who gets who in this whirlwind of a romance and musical that is visually and musically a hit.
