Event Description

Growing Herbs and Vegetables: Master Gardener Phil Pfister will discuss how growing fresh herbs and vegetables is a most enjoyable activity that almost everyone can do, in almost any situation.  It doesn't have to be hard, and the health benefits are great in so many ways.  In this program, Linn County Master Gardener, Phil Pfister, will discuss various gardening styles (in-ground, raised beds, and containers), starting herbs and vegetable seeds, transplants, and growing on to harvest.  We will also touch on some of the more common insects and diseases encountered in the garden.
